Pavanatma College – Government Aided College

Pavanatma College, Murickassery is a Government Aided College of higher education, situated at Murickassery, Idukki District, Kerala, India, run by the Syro Malabar Catholic Eparchy of Idukki. The College was accredited with ‘A Grade’ in its third cycle of re-accreditation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2016. Pavanatma College is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. The College offers 12 Undergraduate and 6 Postgraduate Programmes, a Research Centre on Commerce and a number of Diploma and Certificate Courses. Founded in 1982, the College acts as a beacon of light to encourage higher education among the economically weak and poor sections of the community, irrespective of caste and creed. At present, His Excellency Mar John Nellikunnel, Bishop of Idukki, is the Patron of the College.

The Management was transfered to the Diocese of Idukki in the year 2005 followed by the bifurcation of the Kothamangalam Diocese. At present His Excellency Mar.John Nellikunnel, Bishop of Idukki is the Patron of the College. Under the efficient guidance of the corporate Educational Agency, Idukki, the College marches foward along the path of progress with 9 UG and 5 PG Programmes.
