Amal College of Advanced Studies was established in 2005 by The Nilambur Muslim Orphanage Committee (NMOC) is one of the colleges in Nilambur , with the vision to provide advanced education and opportunities to the young people in and around Nilambur. The founding father of the college is Sri PV Abdul Wahab, who was then the Chairman of the Committee. The college is recognized by the UGC under section 2(F) & 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956 and is a Minority Educational Institution, covered under section 2(g) of the National Commission for Minority Educational Institution Act, 2004.Currently, the college offers undergraduate, postgraduate and research programs and is the only college in the country that reserves 20% of all courses for Muslim Orphans. With its commitment to providing quality education and fostering a supportive community, the college has become a beacon of excellence in the region.
